The Evolution of Tanya

The Command and Conquer: Red Alert series has always been known for its live action cutscenes that employed a decent amount of cheese factor. However the only reoccurring and memorable character was Tanya Adams, the American commando who stuck to the tried and true action flick stereotype of tough but beautiful. As the series progressed, ...

Alien vs. Predator un-banned in Australia

Though previously deciding that the upcoming Alien vs. Predator game was too intense, Australia’s Classification Review Board has reversed their decision today. Many believe that the developers of the intensely graphic shooter may have struck a nerve when they released a statement that referred to Australia as a place “where adults are not considered by ...

Australia has become notorious for their strict guidelines for rating their games. Left 4 Dead 2 was only able to be released there after removing the blood, dismemberment, one enemy type entirely, and making the enemies disappear immediately after hitting the ground. Rebellion, the developers of the upcoming Aliens vs. Predator game, has decided not ...

Diablo III won’t be out next year

Though hardly a surprise to any long time Blizzard fans, Thomas Tippl, Activision Blizzard chief financial officer, announced Diablo III most likely won’t be out in 2010. Left 4 Dead 2 – Review (X360, PC)

Left 4 Dead 2 – Review (X360, PC)

Left 4 Dead 2 is a great game. It is, quite possibly, Valve’s best effort yet, and considering the rich heritage of that company, that’s saying something. It features great graphics, terrific sound design, astounding atmosphere, authentic tension and emotion, and the kind of addictive tactical gameplay that has not only come to be a staple of the L4D games by now, but is also Valve’s unique trademark. It is a game that everybody should try out at least once. And while there is a chance it won’t really appeal to you, there’s an even greater chance that you’ll love it. Not only is it better than the original, but it is a thoroughly excellent game in its own right…
