Red Dead Redemption – Review (X360, PS3)

As Rockstar’s first foray into the old west open world genre, it wouldn’t be wholly unfair to call it a western Grand Theft Auto. In fact, had this been referred to as a spin off of the series, it would have been right at home. However, while I was quite disappointed with the last GTA, ...

Dark Void – Review (X360, PS3)

I try to avoid reading other reviews before I write my own for a given game since they tend to skew my final opinion. I didn’t do this for Dark Void and saw that professional review scores ranged from five to seven (out of ten). Expecting a completely mediocre action title, imaging my surprise when, ...

Darksiders – Review (X360, PS3)

It may be easy to dismiss Darksiders as another God of War clone, but doing so would cause you to pass up on a game that is surprisingly unique and simply fun to play. The similarities between the two game are simply cosmetic and Darksiders provides a much deeper experience. Sometimes the addition of these ...

Brutal Legend – Review (X360, PS3)

Brutal Legend is the next game you should play. Yes, this is a bold statement and it is rare for a title to earn such praise, yet it is well deserved here. Tim Schafer has yet again crafted an epic adventure that is just as fun to watch as it is to play. I, like ...

Batman: Arkham Asylum – Review (X360, PS3, PC)

Licences are usually mixed bags and it’s usually no surprise after you get quick movie cash-ins with minimal effort but large success. But Eidos were different; they never made a movie representation of the Dark Knight’s latest escapade but focused hard on providing us with a top quality game no matter how long they had ...

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga

While the Lego games do supply their own unique action, not enough is added to this compilation to warrant a full priced purchase. Add this to the complete lack of challenge and the game is rather disappointing. It never really tests your skill and can get boring because of this. The game is very basic. ...
