EA has made great strides in the last few years to improve their reputation, but with Army of Two: the 40th Day, they have returned to their previous trend of running a promising series into the ground. This title is far worse than it’s predecessor in almost every way. Everything that made the original game [...]

In 2007, the RPG genre was shaken at its very roots by a studio we thought had done their part in forming that particular aspect of gaming. BioWare, the potential grandparents of Role-Playing Games, and the creators of Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic and Neverwinter Nights, decided to give us a glimpse at the future of RPGs.

As one of the few people that was nothing but disappointed with GTA IV, I didn’t hold out much hope for the add-ons.
Left 4 Dead 2 is a great game. It is, quite possibly, Valve's best effort yet, and considering the rich heritage of that company, that's saying something. It features great graphics, terrific sound design, astounding atmosphere, authentic tension and emotion, and the kind of addictive tactical gameplay that has not only come to be a staple of the L4D games by now, but is also Valve's unique trademark. It is a game that everybody should try out at least once. And while there is a chance it won't really appeal to you, there's an even greater chance that you'll love it. Left 4 Dead 2 should be the blueprint for all future sequels- it rights the wrongs of the first, and it evolves and refines the gameplay design to perfection. If ever there was a case of a sequel totally rendering the existence of the first game useless, then this is it. If you're yet to dabble in Valve's rather fresh take on the zombie apocalypse, then by all means, go ahead and get the sequel. Not only is it better than the original, but it is a thoroughly excellent game in its own right...

There were many thoughts and opinions regarding Resident Evil 4, introduced back in 2005, and all those new gameplay mechanics that came with it.
