Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood – Review (X360, PS3)
The first Call of Juarez was a decent shooter that looked to find a place in the still sparse western genre of video gaming. Bound in Blood clearly learned from the few faults of the original and is an excellent prequel that sets up the story of the original game nicely, though it makes a ...

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles – Review (Wii)
Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles tries to do many new things, yet it always fails, resulting in making the overall experience a bad one. The camera control is terrible, the game relies heavily on cheap shots, and the gameplay usually feels clunky. Ultimately, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles is a disappointment, especially when you look at how games like Dead Space Extraction and House of the Dead: Overkill are taking the genre forward on the Wii…

The story takes place some time after the events of the first installment, with the Prince succeeding to undo the release of the Sands of Time. As the narrative informs us, our nameless hero then decides to acquire knowledge of leadership, and sets out to pay a visit to his elder brother, Malik, who was always an ideal for the Prince in his childhood.

Final Fantasy – Review (iPhone)
With the recent release of Final Fantasy 13 on consoles, the timing couldn’t have been better in giving gamers a chance to experience where the series got it’s start. While Final Fantasy on the iPhone is great for a trip down memory lane, be warned that this new version has received only a graphical overhaul ...

Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver- Review (DS)
Buy this game and play it. It will be then that you realise that not only is this the best handheld game ever created, this is also on par with all the old-time classics, and can blow any current console game out of the water.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 – Review (X360, PS3, PSP)
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 had a clear agenda of cutting back on content in order to refine the experience. Unfortunately they only achieved half this goal in releasing a shorter adventure with fewer characters and a less epic story. It’s still a great game that all Marvel fans will enjoy, but it was difficult to ...

Red Dead Redemption – Review (X360, PS3)
As Rockstar’s first foray into the old west open world genre, it wouldn’t be wholly unfair to call it a western Grand Theft Auto. In fact, had this been referred to as a spin off of the series, it would have been right at home. However, while I was quite disappointed with the last GTA, ...

Five Most Annoying “Innovations” in Video Game Design
Once in a blue moon an innovation comes along and smacks the the video game industry and gamers in the side of the head in a way only professional wrestling can with a steel chair. It leaves people dazed and wondering “HOLY CRAP – HOW’D WE LIVE WITHOUT THIS???!!!” These innovations serve as the dynamic ...

The Evolution of Tanya
The Command and Conquer: Red Alert series has always been known for its live action cutscenes that employed a decent amount of cheese factor. However the only reoccurring and memorable character was Tanya Adams, the American commando who stuck to the tried and true action flick stereotype of tough but beautiful. As the series progressed, ...

Wii Will Rock You
The Wii gets a lot of hate, and it gets bashed. It isn’t nearly as good as its predecessors, and it does have a comparatively weak library, but most of the hate it gets is unwarranted and unfair. Let’s have an in-depth look at the Wii, all its pros, and cons, and decide for ourselves if the Wii is actually as bad as most of the gamers make it out to be.

A Look at 2010 in Gaming (PSP)
2009 is the year which will always be remembered as the year when the PSP actually fought back. With releases like Resistance: Retribution, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Patapon 2, and Dissidia: Final Fantasy and the much anticipated (yet disastrous) launch of the PSP Go and much more, we can actually call 2009 an eventful year for the PSP. 2010, though not as eventful as this year, seems to be quite promising, and with titles like Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Resident Evil Portable and Valkyria Chronicles 2 set for release next year, the PSP looks all set to revive its library furthermore. Like we have done with all the other consoles, we will be having an in-depth look at all the titles releasing on the PSP next year.

A Look at 2010 in Gaming (DS)
The DS has had a great 2009. With releases like Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story, Dragon Quest V, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars and The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks to boast of, we can very safely call this one of the best years the DS has seen so far. Definitely, this trend of great releases shows no sign of stopping, as it sees the releases of some of the most anticipated titles of all time, including the likes of Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver, Golden Sun DS and Dragon Quest IX. Like our previous articles in this feature, we will be having an in-depth look at all the games that the DS will be getting in 2010, as it looks all set to dominate the gaming market.
